We're Moving!

As many of you know, we’ve been renting space on an hourly basis at North End Fitness Center. But our membership has been growing little by little, and it’s time we upgraded to our own space.

As of August 7th, our new location will be 1100 SW Bowmer St., Suite A 104, Oak Harbor, WA 98277.

We’re pretty happy with the new location. It’s in the Papa Murphy’s shopping center, near Walmart and Haggen. You can enjoy a nice cup of Joe at Honeymoon Bay Coffee Roasters before or after class (or during for parents), and you can get a pizza to go on your way home.

The space itself is 1000 square feet, and we just ordered some of the best mats money can buy for a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu School. We decided to go with Fuji Mats as they have the best reputation in the business.

Since we’re mainly a hobbyist gym, we went with the Smooth Series mats. Fuji’s Smooth Series surface helps keep practitioners safe by reducing mat burns.

And while many gyms settle for 1.5 inch thick mats, we went with the 2 inch thick version which offers “Professional Grade for Serious Combat Athletes & MMA Fighters.”

Yeah, we’re mostly hobbyists here, but most of our members have day jobs and families to support so we feel the extra protection is worth it!

So mark it on your calendar, and we’ll see you at our new location, 1100 SW Bowmer St., Suite A 104 on August 7th!
